Protection lists arendue tonight at 7pm EST, I'll spend the next few days negotiating any final protection deals teams may want to do and then I will start announcing my team either the evening of the 16th or the morning of the 17th.bills09 wroteCOLONWhen does this start
Not according to my calculations, but Seattle could definitely be a playoff team right out the gate given the sad state of a lot of these teamsMatthew wroteCOLONIf seattle goes for straight stats they could have a championship team. Lots of studs available this expansion draft.
I suppose it all depends on somehow making cap work. Lots of money was made available, but also tons of talent.CasperX22 wroteCOLONSeattle being in the West will make it difficult to make the playoffs as well. If Seattle were in the East, then I think Seattle would be a lock to make the playoffs barring a disaster of a draft.
You are aware that you just suggested like 80 mil in cap for forwards alone there right?Matthew wroteCOLONI suppose it all depends on somehow making cap work. Backstrom
Malkin
Kuznetov
Toews
Lee
Marchessault
Palat
Gallagher
stastny
Appleton
Acciari
Erne
Hampus lindholm
Josi
sean walker
brodie
Subban
Edler
Raanta
Holtby
Toronto goalie
And some solid depth players too to trade for picks or fit into the team.
And lots of other combinations of good players from the some bbkl teams. I think Seattle could easily be a top 10 team if he does well. Good luck, Seattle!
Should probably look at the options for each team. The other options from Anaheim aren't great, so I imagine Lee is in consideration. And FWIW, I own Malkin and not Scott.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONYou can remove Lee and Stastny from that list and maybe Toews if you don't feel like gambling.
That is 100% a playoff team with a few additions and depth. Dam. Teams better be paying up for protection on some of those stud forwards. I don't understand Malkin being exposed though. I mean Archibald and Lazar over Malkin? Shoalzie makes some truly horrible decisions.
Thanks for correcting me. Forgot about that trade. Shame on me for jumping the gun and blasting without researching. However I don't see Getz protected so that trade still looks bad.CasperX22 wroteCOLONShould probably look at the options for each team. Also weird that you would not protect Malkin. Guess we'lll see what deals you made on the side. Simply leaving him to be picked makes no sense to me.
Seattle has this time to make deals, trades open after he drafts his teambills09 wroteCOLONSince protection lists are in
a protected player gets traded for an unprotected player will that team be forced to expose?
If the lists are locked Seattle should just draft now so trades can continue
