I've got #2 now? Nice!
I've got the documented owners of each pick here:

Thanks Lee!

Question, do I get a compensatory pick for being a new general manager, or am I misremembering how the system works? Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer.

I personally do not think we should push back the waiver draft if there is a lockout.

It's up to the dudes in charge...either way is fine. It might be fun to still do it next week just to have something to do since the outlook for the NHL isn't promising.

Billy I hear what you are saying, wait until we hear there is going to be a season, and waiver draft AS SOON as we hear the word go ? Other solutions?

The current plan is to have it on the 16th, the day after the lock out. If there is a lock out, assuming there is training came and stuff, we'll have it as soon as an announcement is made.

A day or two after we hear confirmation seems like the best course of action. Or if that date is too busy then the first Sunday following the news.

thats fine with me if we do it that way but I dont see the relevance of a new cba being signed to our 1 round waiver pool.

Training camp, and roster cuts have a considerable impact on the value of waiver picks, especially at the top end. Not to mention that there are some players available in our pool that have not yet signed due to the impending lockout.

pretty sure a waiver pick can be used on an un signed player.
Do your homework and you'll be fine.
But like I said ill support whatever is decided.

That is not the point, the point is that you want as much information as possible before making a selection. This is not like the entry draft, in the entry draft, every player selected in the first round will be signed regardless, the same does not hold true in the waiver draft.

Therefore the additional time frame to evaluate and study waiver eligible players, and how they fit into their respective teams plans is crucial, as is their contractual status.

Can we start a new thread called 2013 waiver draft? With at least a table showing who owns what picks and the orders?
