It is always the darkest before the dawn.
We will see hockey this season.

I think so too, but if the players make the same mistake as last time, calling the owners bluff thinking the owners will not cancel a season, well then another season is cancelled

we will see who is right.
Funny thing is, if not for fantasy hockey, i'd really enjoy the NHL cancelling the season and next season providing Fehr and the NHLPA a max offer of 42% of HRR.

I still think we will see hockey in January, I really can't fathom how they could get hung up on issues such as max contract lenght and cba length, nhl has already agreed to the make whole and came up to the number the pa wanted a couple weeks ago, so we just got hung up on the contractual bullshit, the question remains how much pride does each side have, is the nhl willing to cancel a season over contracts?

Awesome. Pretty sure I now hate someone more than Bettman himself...

it took you this long to hate Fehr bro?
He's the biggest reason for this entire mess.
On a side note, I just read about the comments Hamrlik made and the backlash he received from some of the players, such as Erik Cole. So disgusting. I guess a guy who has been in the league for 18 years and been through 3 lockouts has to hold his tongue...
Can't fucking stand these NHL players. The longer this drags on and the more I have to read and hear from them, the more disgusted I get.

This is EXACTLY how I thought Fehr would handle this entire thing ... I've never wanted to take an aluminum bat to someone's face more than I have his smug fucking face

Fehr has been untenable during this entire process.. and by that i mean right from the (non)start back in late 2011.
It never cease to 'amaze' me how the players keep whining about the fact they should have been having these conversations in August and no one among interviewers tell them: "do you realize your leader refused to have any conversation for many months and then delayed the process as much as possible at every single step?"

I am so glad that I am no where near those negotiations.
Lots of reports of owners not at all happy with a) the offer & b) the reply from the PA - including loss of the moderates such as owners of leafs & habs... that could be a lack of recognition by the PA and as a result strengthen the hardliners such as Jacobs & Schneider...

really shitty thing to do to the players from other leagues... you know the ones who cannot afford a year out of work. Very fake idealism by the PA.
