Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I honestly agree with neel and thoms. The sedins arent bitches, but they are indeed, "softer" than most north american players. Europeans dont learn to retaliate often in minor hockey but focus more on proper checking/check receiving (specifically although the sedins dont check much). Honestly all this "tough" and fighting back stuff is heavily a north american (specifically canadian) - driven perception, and its only right that this is the kind of hockey most of us enjoy watching here as it is something we are used to since minor hockey.
In europe they display finnesse and eliteness differently, and they produce and receive respect just as well. Is it wrong type of hockey? Not necessarily, but i can see why north americans may shake their heads in disapproval. It is fine to add grit in fine balance to up the intensity and leadership, and let it transition into a game and make impact, but i personally think marchand is a very talented player but caught up in idiotic decision making process a lot of the times.
Sid/ovi can play physical and it is part of their game, so it adds way more excitment watching him play, but the sedins are fine at what they do and theyre world class players.
The way i see it, north american players generally retaliate to confrontations way moreso tham euros. They have different temper/resolving process. This buys a lot of discredit/misunderstandings about some of the great euros that play this game.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I see you like to make excuses for soft players as well Paul. Good to know.
Bottom line is that sedin got pushed around like a little bitch and did nothing to stand up for himself.

Also paul. That soft euro hockey is fine over in euro leagues. This is the NHL. Big difference.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I just think there is a fine line between just calling them a pussy/soft thus u hate them cuz of their playing style, and saying that they dont deserve to be in the NHL or that theyre shit players or something to that effect based on their softness. I just wanted to protect that clause Kyle, nothing really worth arguing about lol. If u recognize that sedins amongst worlds top players, but u hate him cuz hes a softie, i get that and theres nothing wrong with it.... But i dont think ur point is that sedins a trash player that doesnt deserve any respect due to his pussiness or anything ridiculous like that so im probably just on a rant here.
Did some spelling/puntuation editing here afterwards.

Did u even read it thru kyle? Seems like u didnt read it at all. I put so much effort into it. U dont think theyre at least good points? U really think im just trying to "protect" euro players? Im not that shallow dude

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I think the sedins have skill...obviously. I just dont like how soft they are. It rubs me the wrong way.
I dont think you win championships with that type of playe being the go to guy. At least not in the nhl.
Id hVe more respect for him (daniel) if he had stood up for himself while getting repeatedly punched in the face lol.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Tru enuff. I think also daniel probably tried to stay "civilized" so that he can buy more sympathy from the refs too, which i dont respect if that were the case. But who really cares in the end, the canucks are out of the race LOL

Ducks preparing tampering charges against leafs over Schultz?
http://www.buckys5thquarter.com/2012/5/ ... ng-charges
I'd be ecstatic to get Schultz, and I doubt any tampering charge would stick (C'mon Burkie use em lawyering skills).. I'd find it incredibly difficult to believe though that Gardiner didn't call up Schultz and say something he was told by Burke. Mind you if he simply said it's awesome come over here that isn't tampering. The allegations seem to stem from the fact Schultz has told the Ducks he picked his team months ago.
