new jersey will draft Monahan at 9 imo. I think BUF and EDM take defenders and with Monahan available at 9, I don't see them going for anyone else. They need to sell some tickets and Furcale is not that answer. All my personal beliefs based on nothing other than speculation mixed with opinions from various pundits. So just as worthless as every other bbkl opinion lol.

In this years draft it'd be insane to pick fucale in the top 8 or 9. Might be a worth trying in the 10-20.

I really can't see Monaha dropping to nine Bryan lol

He is listed at 9th by ISS, 11th by McKeen and 8th by FC in their final rankings. I don't see it as Monahan falling as much as him going where he is ranked lol. He will go earlier in BBKL due to our fascination with forward prospects but that doesn't mean NHL gm's will take him higher than where he is ranked. Who knows, he may go higher but I am just placing my bets based on the average ranking of Monahan vs team need and that is why I am suggesting he goes to NJD right where he is ranked lol. You might not see that logic but it is more logical than assuming he goes higher than his rank.

I thought it was Fucale as well. I even had it typed out that way but then saw everyone else's mistake and assumed I was in the wrong lol

without a trade - i expect him to go 7-11th... someone moves up looking for a C, he'll be the reason why.

As a Zajac owner and a potential Monahan owner, i prefer they do not play on the same nhl team

i actually think if all these leaf rumors are true, that the leafs may trade up and take Monahan, like i said earlier, i'm not sure about the cost to move up, but they're certainly spending a lot of time bringing him in with interviews, on ice training, etc...

I will relay that to the NJD organization and hopefully they will take your concerns into consideration.

Don't give up on Biggs just yet- big bodies take time! And as watching Lucic & Horton shows - is awesome when it works

Monahan should be a top 5 pick, any year. This draft is stupid, in a good way.
