Wow does he ever... man I would hate to have to pick him. Guy must be wearing gloves carved from solid oak, and skates sharpened by his blind-grandma.

Yeah, I'm probably taking him 4th if RNH, Landeskog, Couturier are gone.

Well, there are 3 guys and Strome is one.

ME NO WANT LARSSON!!! .. just because I hate drafting dmen ;)

Can't necessarily blame you there. Particularly with a first round pick.

A high end offensive forward prospect is going to have greater value than a dman IMO. Besides you can get some quality defense later in the draft..

I disagree with that... Bogo, DD, Fowler, PieT all seem to be worth a fair bit more then forwards drafted after them.

Good cap hit, scoring Dmen are worth a lot in this league, Shep just choses to build his team with the non-scoring, non-cap hit friendly dmen.

Non-scoring, yes (though I now have Whitney. Girardi also had over 30 points ;). But I disagree with non-cap hit friendly.

My top 7 defencemen average $2,317,857 per player and the 7 defencemen are a combined $16,225,000 of my $59,400,000 cap.

How long is the clock for the Entry Draft?

12 hours?

Re: Entry Draft Discussion

I'd say 2-3 max during the hours of 10 am - 10 PM, with no clock during the off hours.
Longer time frame for the first 2 rounds.

2-3 hours? That's insane, maybe the very end rounds to wrap it up.

My opinion:

Rounds 1-2 should be 12 hours.

Rounds 3-5 should be 6 hours.

Rounds 6-7 should be 2-4 hours.
