It's more because it's the friggin 6th and 7th round.. who cares? You could make it 24 hours for all I care, I won't be drafting past the 4th round .. if that.

Exciting to see who the leafs grab with the 2x 1st + 2x 2nd, nbd that they might be 30th and 60th, 25 & 36(?) give us a strong chance of moving. f- all 4 to move way up :) Burke loves making voice on the 'dance' floor.

So do the rest of us who bother to check in in every couple of hours when we know our picks are coming up soon. The fantasy draft is a perfect example. The end with Scott, myself, Matt and Steve flew by while when certain other people were up, 12 hours was the norm.

Could we lets say have out time limit of the 6 or 12 hours for the first 4 rounds where everyone wants to put effort into the draft. Then, for the 5-7th round we designate that the saturday or sunday following the completion of the first 4 rounds where we all get online and just jam out the remainder of the draft in a quick fire manor where we have 5min per selection. Those who have concern for 5-7th round picks can put fourth the effort they wish to, and those who aren't too concerned can just submit a grocery list of players to a representative and they will just go down the list picking BPA or follow a game plan of what position to snag. That to me seems like a way to speed up the process a good bit.

If the Time limit is anything less than 10 hours for the first 3 rounds, it's pretty ridiculous.

I'm just saying the game plan in general for later rounds...the time limit on the first 3 or 4 rounds can be whatever you guys have seen make sense from past drafts.

oh, i see, the shitty proposal comes from the fact you don't care about that.. then leave it to the ones who do :P

there is no need to rush things, force GMs to be online at a particular time and make it a mess.

Longer time frame for the first 2 rounds.
ugh, you really love me dude :(

and i know it should be me to adapt to the other 29 GMs and not the league to me, but the 2-3hrs timeframe is crap anyway :P

It would be nice if the draft moved along at a nice pace, however we need to be understanding of real-life issues. Nothing wrong with how we've done it in the past, however for GM's who aren't going to be making their later picks - they should be ready for fines if they're letting the clock run out consistently, it's bad GMing (and wasting everyone's time). Do the league a favour and trade them away.

I know 4 whole picks a day seems like a lot to ask for... but I'd like to see the entry draft end before the start of the season ;)

the length of time the draft takes has never been an issue. why are you trying so hard?

when people are on they'll pick. between the hours of 7 and 10 pm we'll probably get up to 10+ picks done. there's no point in implementing absurd time limits.

Because waiting around for 8 + hours during the middle of the day waiting for one person to log in while the next handful of people are already online is pointless.

I'm not trying too hard either... I made a suggestion and people keep replying to it. It's called a conversation.

if you're sitting around waiting for 8+ hours to make a pick in a fantasy hockey draft that's your problem im afraid.
