Safely while I'm asleep..icic....pricks. and of course the 'yesterday's stats' tab is annoying to read. think it could just toss up in the same format as the previous day..

shooker wroteCOLONwith all due respect to Facey's previous competitors, it is nice to see him finally get a matchup against a playoff team. had it far to easy so far lol.

Season record of 49-10-5 or against every team a record of 1274-416-166,which breaks down to 42.5-13.9-5.5 -> schedule hasn't had much effect on my out score. Also 4-0 versus everyone aside from CBJ and you (both in week 1, also tied NYR)no matter the opponents, now this week I am facing the team that would have limited my points the 2nd most this season, 32-26-6 against you shook, and 36-22-6 versus shiv.

Not feeling super confident as i) it's already unlikely to beat a team like Shiv's 5-weeks in a row, ii)not loving my teams gp breakdown and iii) now seeing Shiv's wicked start to the week it feels like i+ii were accurate and it looks like a win for me this week is bleak.

Another 4 spot would be nice.

Even better if Ranger put up some points. 4 hits last night was pretty cool.

ranger was good last night

it was franson caught out of place a bunch of times.

once again, Rielly and Dion were out best dmen tho

Rielly ? last night? he was chasing in our own zone a lot IMO. Great work offensively all night and seemed like i saw a tone of him, but sometimes down/low he still gets on the wrong side.

I liked Dion, Gunner & Gardiner - all shut down the strong opposition players repeatedly. Dion actually had some bad puck movement decisions, but nothing that cost us. I also agree Ranger was okay.

i thought gunnar looked rather bad last night - one of his worst games.

The truth is that Edmonton wasn't up to stuff - aside from their power play I was rarely worried about what was happening.

i thought they outplayed us - esp in period 1

once again it was our goalies who won us the game.

i'd say chances as well,,,,the difference being we (kessel) burried everything he was given....i watched the game with a few of my oiler buddies,,,they said the same thing...Oilers outplayed the leafs,,,the leafs finished all their chances, whereas Reimer shut down the oilers.

I also don't like the talk about how "Reimer won us the game". More like Edmonton's goaltending and defence keeps losing them games. If they get both, maybe it ends 2-0. If they get a bounce it's 2-1.

Last thought: Kessel is becoming a Top 10 player in the league. A true game breaker.

I've been saying this for a year now,,,,he's worth every penny..the guy just knows how to finish...

and anyone who doesn't think a good goalie (who stopped 43 shots) didn't win us the game either had too much blue-aid or didn't watch the game...the oilers had a lot of quality chances last night, esp right in front of the net.

Man I was comfortable all game - no Oiler looked notably dangerous, they rarely had inside position and like a single 2:1 all night... Their PP had good movement and a couple of shots, but it wasn't 'oh-shit' moments like versus the Penguins where a HUGE save was a made, it was good saves from marginalized shots (IMO) - my GF commented that the Oilers look sloppy compared to the Leafs.

On a side note, Lupul was awful - just poop all game, clarkson was physical but aside from that had a very small impact. Kadri, Kessel, JvR, Bolland, Ashton, McClement appears to win the puck battles and dominate the play. I'm excited for our team healthy, Bozak and Kules are top 6 time on ice forwards for us - that's big portions of the game where we have our non-first choice players on the ice, once structured down into the designed roles I think we'll have a formidable forward group.
