I'll certainly pay less attention if we go to this new system, especially if its just win/loss.

Once again this is a pretty drastic change for a league that's been around for almost 8 seasons.....

Hopefully mike just shuts this down.

i think it's a great idea personally, the only true way to see what the league wants is for us to continue to talk about it, then if interest seems to be high enough we take it to a vote.

anything less than 16 votes for the change then no need for the CC to discuss it.

I agree with Steve

Why would there be opposition to this? I dont understand. You are still playing H2H on a weekly basis. Instead of one opponent you have 3. You can strengthen divisional rivalries. You also get three times the fun in a given fantasy week. I would like someone to try and explain, statistically speaking, how this proposed format would be a step back as compared to what we do now? If anything it is a way to improve the accuracy of outcomes.

I am not sure what is the best way to score atm, keep it the same as we do now or go to W/L/T. I think i would be inclined to keep it the way it is.

It seems to me there is two topics to discuss.

1. implement playing 3 or 4 opponents in a given week to simulate an 82 game season like in the NHL(BBKL modo has always been to emulate NHL as much as possible)
2. if implemented, would scoring structure be the same except x 3 or 4 or would it go to WLT?

I'm on board with this. It would be great to play divisonal rivals multiple times and every team in the league each season. How often do we hear a team talking about a wasted week since they put great stats against a weak team or lost against a team with slightly better stats. This would allow your weekly stats to be put up against a few teams and I think would increase interest personally.

Think about going into a Sunday and being down 2 hits and 3 shots to one team, up 2PIMs and a goal to another and goalie stats close to a third team with both starters playing. All three matchups would be up in the air with a lot more on the line and to pay attention to as opposed to the current system where weeks can be over before the weekend in some lopsided matchups.

W.e just keep the fucking point totals and I wouldn't really care.

If I play mike (or any other top team) and only lose 8-7 I should be rewarded for that. Instead, with what you guys are proposing that would simply be chalked up as a loss, which would suck.

I don't care about playing 4 teams at once, that's fine. Just keep it so its point totals

Thats a fair point. I am on side with the scoring system remaining the same. I just think playing 4 instead of 1 would be awesome and i could care less if i am looking at 15 total points per week or 60.

this seems to be what a majority of the teams want.

Personally i'd rather go W-L-T

that said, i'm pretty easy going with either scoring system.

Not at all. I just think its easier to keep track of stats with only having 4 games instead of 64 cats.

Like I said, im just being picky tho. It really doesn't matter to me what scoring system we use

It would be nice to hear from the 16 of you who haven't commented yet...

Chi, Col? (did we lose Bryan AGAIN?), Fla, Ott, Min, Mtl, Nas, NJ, Phi, Pho?, Pit, StL, Tor, Van, Was, Wpg

Ya i'd be down for it. Keep stat category scoring though.

Steve - you're still gonna have the same number of stats... just 2 additional rows to compare downwards... don't think it'll make a difference at all since most of the time you still end up comparing your weeks against rivals and teams around your level to see how you would've stacked up.

Didn't you suggest a vote among GMs should take place first? And we have more than 8 months to discuss it anyway
