Early in their careers Hertl and Barkov has scored at similar paces. While Hertl is the better periph player with the hits he puts up. Say what you will about future potentials, but I have seen greater flashes of elite level play at the NHL level form Hertl rather than Barkov. Sure center's seem to always take precedent in this league, but when comparing these two young players I don't think the difference is an elite prospect you will be at #9 in this draft. Thats why I think Dallas should be all over this.

New coaching systems and his greatest season came playing with Jumbo. Same with Pavs. Don't get me wrong I love Hertl but not for that offer. I asked for a prospect and Nick didn't want to do it so I turned down his offer of Barkov+2nd for Hertl+9th. Barkov taking big steps and his line drove the playoff push and a full year playing with Jagr should hopefully rub off well
