In the worst two cases tipping the shots on our own net. Goalies an Dman who is scrambling to recover from others mistakes are the easiest to blame - they are literally in the picture as the puck goes in. IMO there was a lot of that in the Sweden game too. Shit play by forwards and a small mistake or unlucky bounce on a Dman has Blackwood or other Dman playing scapegoat.

Also - what a final 4min by Marner and where has that been all tourney...

Team identity is What I believe our biggest problem is. Are we physical, nope. Overly fast/push the pace - hell no. Position ally perfect and waiting for mistakes - nope, defensive shutdown with smart puck location ? Hhellll no. I just feel like we don't dictate the game at all.

i watched the US/Denmark/Sweden games and marner, strome, and konecny seemed to be the only players generating anything?

my other takeaway has been how vital it is for the Leafs to stay in the bottom 5 this year. 1 of Matthews, Puuljaarvi, Laine, Nylander, Tkachuk would be massive.

I love the options at the top of this draft...so many prospects showing out. It's sorta strange that none of those guys are Canadian.

Chychrun deserves to be in that group Anton mentioned too and the Leafs are playing too good of late and need to start losing more. That terrible start to the year has helped our draft postition, but over the last month and a bit their record is decent.

im a huge chychrun fan, but i'd be disappointed if we took him over any of matthews, laine, puljaarvi, or nylander.

laine is actually my favorite after matthews. kid screams malkin.

I don't think Chychrun goes before the guys you mentioned other than maybe Nylander. Only meant that another name could be added to the top of the draft class.
