Re: might quit
Paul, I respect your decision to leave. I would like to request you to stay. And I am here if you need to chat about personal things. I know we're not the best of friends or anything, but if you ever just need someone to listen.
Re: might quit
Yah man, fuck.
Paul just take a healthy amount of time away from the place before you finalize your decision. I was getting bored/frustrated with this place throughout the year too. It's why I disappeared for months at a time. Really did wonders for my mindset.
Like shiv and a few others have mentioned, if you ever need someone to talk to man just fire me off a message. Same # as always buddy.

Re: might quit
That's the thing with this league and how it's fairly anonymous. We know each other but yet we don't really know each other.
I consider myself a friendly and generous person but I also have terrible anxiety issues and I've had periods of depression. It can be a juggling act when you want to give everyone your best self but at the same time, you've got your own problems bubbling underneath the surface. The worst thing is to make your problems someone else's problems. Talking to someone is a healthy thing to do. I did it myself. It doesn't make all the problems go away completely but it's better than keeping everything to yourself.
Take your time, Paul...your spots still here if you want it.

We can be a pretty hateful bunch sometimes, but when it comes right down to it, we are a family.

Re: might quit
I sent paul a warming text message from us all, asked him to take the summer off and hopefully return fresh in the fall. He will consider it, which is good news in my opinion.

Re: might quit
We all have a breaking point and we all have our own levels of sensitivity. The mental and emotional health stuff is very real.
My low point when I was around 19 or 20. I struggled in my second year of college. My mom was going through another divorce back home. I eventually drop out of college and my mom and I are living with my grandparents for a few months. I can't hold a job. I had a meltdown at one job in the first week and I walked off. My car breaks down as I'm driving away. It didn't help matters that 9-11 happens around then and I'm thinking as a guy who dropped out of college and can't hold a job...I was leaning towards joining the military. I felt like putting myself into harm's way because I really was at a low point.
It can pile up on you in a hurry and you either go to the dark side and harm yourself or harm others or you can go get help and get your crap together. I went to a psychologist for several months to clear my head and get a lot of problems out in the open. It helped. Issues will pop up but I'm better equipped to deal with them.
I respect Paul for acknowledging what he's going through. That's always the hardest part and to admit to other people. He doesn't need to explain a thing about what's going through because we all have own struggles. You do what's right for you and if it means leaving this league, then do it.

The year thing was for switching teams I thought.Lee wroteCOLONHe quit. He can't come back for a year. Enough of this lollygagging shit.
Re: might quit
He would be coming back to the same team before the gm has been replaced during the summer. I'm sure it's a lot easier than finding a new gm, and Paul adds a nice dynamic to the league.
It seems as though he is staying.
