Maybe...it's not like Toews and Kane are ancient but no question they have a lot of miles on those tires. All that hockey does catch up. A few too many greenhorns in their lineup that don't know how to win in the spring.

Definitely looks like they ran into the wrong opponent in the first round. The Preds have been one of those teams they needed to prove they can win a breakthrough series. This looks like their moment. Gotta get that 4th win though...those are always tricky. I counted the Hawks out against the Wings a few years ago and they came back from 3-1 down.

Fun playoffs overall...lots of close games but that's to be expected. I love watching this stuff without a horse in the race...a lot less stressful.

I don't see things getting a lot easier for them in the next few years. The Hossa and Seabrook contracts are going to look worse and worse as time goes on and even Keith is moving past his most effective years. I'm still not even sure how they're going to clear cap to make Panarin's extension work next year.
