And there's a GM just waiting to get the call up to the big leagues. Time for everyone to shape up or ship out!

I think a big thing with the trade activity is most of us are looking for the same thing - younger players/high picks. Only a handful of teams are actually competing every year.

Bingo

There's way more parity now too, so it's strange we still have over half the league thinking they can't pay anything for a player over 30. I bet I would be lucky to get a late 2nd for Williams if I had to move him and he had 50+ pts 200SOG 12 STP and 79 hits. Nobody wants to pay for a productive player since the 2nd could end up being the next Williams even though the odds are far greater he will be a bust.

Which is ridiculous given the prices rebuilding teams are asking for legit crap players. Williams is easily worth a 2nd to a contending team, especially at the nice salary he's got.

Hes worth what the market says he is worth.

I am sure he would have gotten a 2nd if he were actually on the market. Unfortunately the Bruyns were too busy winning to sell him off.

Pekka Rinne can go for a good roster player (not elite) or a 1st round pick in this or next year's draft.

First one to offer either that works for me gets him.

Was hoping for something a little better. Preferably start with someone that doesn't suck.

Meant for last (current) year. I don't see why he wouldn't start next year.
