when our mutual agent kasperx022 finalizes the conditions involved, I'll jump in.
there was no way I'd have done 20 goals either. it's a 6th overall on the line, nobody makes a bet for a player "worth 6th overall" to score 20 goals. even david clarkson can do it on a certain given season

no... lol
why would anyone think a player being traded for 6th overall sufficices for a 20 goal season?
you just acquired a 6th overall for kaprizov
wouldn't u think a player that went for 6th overall would have to at least prove that he's worth a 30 goal season?

I think the idea is kaprizov would be doing 25 goals in his rookie season, which only maybe 2 guys do a season. The most goals a rookie has scored the last 3 years is 31. And there have been plenty of top 5 picks during those years who haven't hit 25.

Bc you are a coward and made the conditions super favorable for yourself as usual. Like i said, Garland did it in his 1st full season playing on the 3rd and 4th line at the same age Kaprizov will be. So either you think Garland is worth the 6th pick in the draft, or you knew you got one over here. Prove you're not a bitch and accept one of the 2 modifications to the bet.

Kaprizov is a fun piece but to trade 6 OV is a bit much, especially with Drysdale on the board

I think 60 point rookie next year Kaprizov will do just fine. I'd say kap is safer to be a 60+ point scorer than 6th overall. You just lose a few years and some cap relief. But we usually trade players within a couple years anyway, so may as well take the guy who hits his peak first.

Arizona took a lot of heat for this trade...at worst he broke even.

Only reason I made this deal was Kaprizov's shortened ELC

ah, ok, thought 5th and 6th
taking a look back just now, that's shaping up as a decent draft for the Preds, with Lundell, Reichel, Wallinder, Niederbach, Shakir, Soderblom among others on top of those two.
