I wish you the best of luck Paul but you have a ton of work to do still. The East will be very tough next year.. even more so then this year as all the teams that didn't make it look to be improving and the 8 teams there should still be very good.

Lol, BBKL Bruins are not having much luck this year. Gonna get knocked out in round one. Made trades for playoff run and players I traded away go off once they are traded....awesome!

I hear Andy McDonald is having quite the run since his position remained safe with the Flyers ;)

When you rely so much on goaltending it will eventually come and bite you in the ass.

I dont rely on it any more than the next guy...I tried to build the most rounded team possible. I mean, is having the reigning Vezina, and Conn Smythe winner as a goalie a bad thing? Topher's team is going off this week. He has as many points as Kareem does....Shit happens in H2H no matter how good your team is. Look at Rinne last night. How many times has that happened? Look at Mike losing 2 more guys...shit is fucked up. Its all in good fun though. If i have to be knocked out this early i don't mind it being Topher. His team has played me tough this year in our matches. I'll cheer him on. I wish i could punch a select few guys on my team, in the face though...but that wont help my cause, lol.

After we lose this week Kyle, let's make some deals. It's about time you gave in and rape me for Ryan Callahan. Quit playing hard to get!

I'm potentially going to finished with two pretty good mid-round picks in Ottawa and Buffalo. Nice. Sorry guys.

Lol what a joke....MacKenzie injured, Nikitin, and now Iginla with red cross...ffs...this is laughable. If its not tied tomorrow Topher, you can guarantee a Buffalo victory.

Bruins are going to need close to a miracle to win this week. Behind everywhere. Tophers team is playing solid.

Thought the picks were contingent on how the teams do in the playoffs?

Same format the NHL uses.

30 = cup champ
29 = cup loser
27 & 28 = losers in the conference finals
26 down to 16 are the other playoffs losers based on their rank in season.
14 to 1 are the non playoff teams, only effect is the lottery

So for example, the absolute worst Steve (LAK) could finish is 26th.

Unless I'm sorely mistaken, it does not. We've also covered this a couple of times :)

The remaining order is determined by the Stanley Cup playoff results.[8] Whichever team wins the Stanley Cup is awarded the 30th and last pick, while the runner-up is given the 29th pick. The teams eliminated in the conference finals are awarded the 28th and 27th picks, with the 28th pick going to the team with the better regular season record. Remaining division winners, then the rest of the field are ranked next, filling in the 26th through 15th picks. In both cases, better records result in later picks
