or we start to use one iota of common sense and run a draft without consistently fucking people over for sleeping at 3 am.

To be fair, I knew my pick was gonna come up in the early hours so I submitted a list to Lee....

super true. almost too true.
I told Mike my pick, and I know Bryan and others do similar practices - but that because we've likely been fucked (or seen enough other people lose out)...

this. its rather retarded that someone could lose out on a player strictly for sleeping. should be some sort of extended window and maybe start that clock at 9am or something. I've always found this 6 hour window pure crap.
I submitted my pick to three gms but I know why people don't want to do that. I have been screwed over and seen guys I have submitted lists to trade up to get the guy I wanted after seeing my lists. I am sure I am not the only one to have this happen to them so it could very well be the reason a lot of guys wont leave lists.
BTW Paul gets F'd in the A in this draft lol. Loses two potential CGY goalies. Sucks for him.

a freeze on the window overnight seems logical.
and yes, if ive done the research/work (especially for the waiver draft) fuck sending another dude my list.

using last night as an example - josh's pick was made and my window started while i was unconscious.
why not just hold off on starting my window until a reasonable time the next morning.

if people are up at ungodly hours in the night to make their pick - all the power to em. but the next pick shouldn't be punished for it.

Not disagreeing with you.
But is sleep the only consideration? Which time zone? What about work hours? This passed entry draft people lost out on their guy (pick) because they were at work...

there's only so much you can do. all im asking for is common sense - and freezing the window overnight is common sense.

I got it. Anton and lee are both important members of league. I'm not. from the sounds of it I stole anton guy under the rug. I'll just give him jooris and then ilill jus quit the league how about that

lee's always been like that with me - i just ignore it now.
i think when he first joined he was really confused by my sarcasm and just thought i hated him. even when i would try to compliment him on helping out with stuff he would just get mad and block me on msn.

Just what is common sense though.
You say well asleep, midnight to 8am ? which time zone (relative to the owner of the pick?), what about guys that work night shift... or work starts at 6am and the pick is made at 8am... 6 hours later you're still at work. That seems like common sense to me... supposed to be fun not getting screwed by details of inconvenience - however when trying to co-ordinate 30 guys, who live around the world, at various jobs and life-styles.... precedent has somewhat been set with the responsibility of the pick holder to share a list -> if that is done and the pick is still missed, I believe the league would understand and accommodate in some way.
I'm all for a better system, it just seems a lot of guys only care when it fucks them, and there's a good group who expect more diligence to be paid.
