tbh +/- is a very good stat and indicator for me.. you don't go +53 by "luck"... just like chabot.. he got +29 in 34 games..Matthew wroteCOLONTimmins has a +/- almost equal to his amount of games, and far ahead of his teammates. I know it's not a great stat to use, but that does bode well if he is his team's #1 dman.
It can be a team stat. His entire team has a good +/-, but he is out ahead of the rest of the team, which means he could be one of the pieces that are highly contributing to why the +/- is in fact so good. The fact the chart shiv showed indicates he (and likely the team) get a lot of even strength points is also pretty nice.
