Timmins had a big year, but I get a Matt Finn vibe from him. No idea why since I didn't really watch either player in the CHL.
I've watched a bunch of Timmins highlights and the thing most scouts are talking about (and I noticed in his plays) is his poise and how he is NHL ready from that perspective. Still has other areas to work on but they will come. Also a right handed d-man who can put up points is hard to come by. Pretty sure he'll get taken in the 1st round.Matthew wroteCOLONIt can be a team stat. His entire team has a good +/-, but he is out ahead of the rest of the team, which means he could be one of the pieces that are highly contributing to why the +/- is in fact so good. So u can't just look at it on its own, gotta look at it in comparison to the rest of the team.hong57 wroteCOLONtbh +/- is a very good stat and indicator for me.. you don't go +53 by "luck"... just like chabot.. he got +29 in 34 games..Matthew wroteCOLONTimmins has a +/- almost equal to his amount of games, and far ahead of his teammates. I know it's not a great stat to use, but that does bode well if he is his team's #1 dman.
The fact the chart shiv showed indicates he (and likely the team) get a lot of even strength points is also pretty nice.
I had Timmons on my short list at pick 41. He may go first now, but I'm not convinced. He reminds me of Stuart Percy, at the same age.Robin Hood wroteCOLON

I think he's very different. Incredible skater and first pass + pp quarterback. I'm hoping he goes 16-24.The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONI had Timmons on my short list at pick 41. He may go first now, but I'm not convinced. He reminds me of Stuart Percy, at the same age.Robin Hood wroteCOLON

I have him more of a 35-60 guy, myself. That doesn't mean he wont go earlier or later. After the top 10 picks this draft is literally wide-open.Robin Hood wroteCOLONI think he's very different.
