Sources say Vancouver reached out to Toronto this week to revisit Loungo talks.Flames hoping for a better read on Kipper's future this wknd.
for what it's worth, he speculates that vancity isn't interested in Bozak, rather they want Grabo (he said they didn't want a UFA)

As reported by Hockey Central insider Doug MacLean on HC @ Noon Monday, a tentative off-season deal for Luongo was in place between the Leafs and Canucks, but Luongo refused to waive his no-trade clause at the time because the well-paid goaltender was led to believe a deal could also be struck with the Florida Panthers, his former club and his first choice for a landing spot.
“Luongo, at that particular time, believed that a deal was going to happen in Florida. He really believed a deal was coming through in Florida,” MacLean said Monday. “He was told by somebody close to the Panthers that a deal was going to happen, they were going to find a way and to be patient. Luongo turned down the deal with the Leafs. He would not waive his no-trade (to join) the Leafs, so the deal was off.”

Maple Leafs general manager Dave Nonis is meeting with the media to talk about the trade deadline. Here is a summary of what he had to say:
- Market is quiet right now but expects talks to heat up stating tomorrow
- Has not ruled out possibility of acquiring a veteran goalie if the price was right
- He acknowledges the good play of James Reimer, Ben Scrivens, and Nazem Kadri
- Is willing to trade players with expiring contracts, but not for draft picks.
- Nonis on the trade deadline, "We're either looking to add a player or two or stand pat"
Nonis will once again address the media on Wednesday following the trade deadline.
- Raihan
I apologize for no link, but again, this is off my facebook page, just 'like' the Toronto maple leafs on fb and all updates will appear on your page.
edit: tsn talks about it,

Sharks, Flyers discussing possible Clowe trade
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/repo ... to-flyers/
It says if the trade happens with the flyers an extension is in place....the way the flyers hand out extensions you gotta think its like 7 years at 5mil per....the deal is a 1st rd pick + prospect,,,could be a pretty good 1st rd pick if the flyers fail to gain ground on the playoff run.

I could see Matt Read being a part of the deal.

BMac tweeted that very likely Clowe not in lineup tonight. I know he has been brutal but i would love that Newfie in Boston on third line.
Soderberg - Peverly - Clowe
Id go to battle with that. Get a top 4 D also. mmm

Sounds like it is philly. I was hoping a Clowe for Lou deal was going to happen somehow. I was hoping his relationship with AV would make Gillis go after him. I'd love the guy but I doubt he comes to Van.

I actually do not get this move from a Toronto standpoint as Kipper has openly stated that he is strongly considering retirement. they might trade for a goalie then need one again next year. To me it's almost better to do nothing as I don't think it is win now time in Toronto.

I'd be happy with Reimer/Kipper heading into the playoffs.
For a b prospect and mid pick I'd grab him for sure.
ashton + 3rd or something.

I think the price would be substantially higher than that.

yes I did. That does not change the fact that the price would still be much higher than that for Kipper.
