Fraser wroteCOLONKapG wroteCOLONLess fish in the league now, of course there will be less trades. Its also going to be tougher negotiating as well. I can't say I see it as a bad thing. Frustrating at times? Sure...but I think, like someone else already mentioned, this is going to put some more emphasis on drafting and developing.
I would imagine that even without a changing of the guard this would happen to a league over time. The league matures in how to run its franchises and it starts to resemble the NHL more and more. Only naturally makes sense, there is a reason real teams are run a certain way.
yeah, the new GMs have made for tougher negotiations but the good part of it has been the league becoming more realistic and less one sided trades happening.
Also, one thing is complicated negotiations (they may be time spending, even feel like work sometimes, but I guess they are also more like NHL real ones), another one frustrating negotiations where you don't get replies or such.
Of the guys added over the last year or so, I think I've only struggled communicating with LUTD and maybe Thom, but in both cases has been about not getting counters or clear indications rather than not getting replies.
This year deadline was great for that matter, maybe the fact it was on the same day of the NHL trade deadline helped having lots of guys online, but it's been the best one to date in terms of getting timely replies, which is important on deadline day.

Matthew wroteCOLONI think it is a good thing the new guys are tougher to deal like Fraser said. It is going to create more parity. Gm's raping new guys was such an issue that 2 week roster freeze and trade buddies had to be instated. Now those bottom feeder new gm's are actually taking positive steps to compete long term. Its better than having new guys taking over bad teams, and then making them worse due to rape or acquiring old players, and then have them quit again, and that cycle of bottom feeders continuing. More teams will be built like mik's.
It's not really that but just that many have come in to the league thinking they have a long rebuild plan but simply finding it tedious and more time consuming than they originally thought so they end up in quitting

I mean think about it. People have been harping on me all year long for some trsdes I make and like if I always get the younger player for whos actually Older but WAY significant in terms of h2h production/longevity the big dogs wud always nod and go "well done paul" (ie stay down there like ur supposed to)
And whereas I trsde away the insignificant young assets they'd lose their minds partly probably because they didn't get to join in on the negotiations.
My builds a bit different from Frazers but I believe in it. I believe I'm improving/coming

I believe your team is being built more like Cam's team. Both ways can work, and Both ways contain risks.

What do you think about wennberg? Not sure how he compares to lazar. Finally started playing with top 6 guys and has 7 points in last 9 games. Leads rookies in shtoi I think. Getting solid ice time in Columbus. Also started shooting more lately.

He had a full practice with hartnell and dano today. Likely back tomorrow. Just a hand infection so can't be that long term.

I like Wennberg but not in this deal. Didn't get the kind of interest I was hoping that I would here. Likely going to sit on these assets as I feel that most don't place the same value on them as I do.

Lee you are being ridiculous. Comparing me being dissatisfied with the offers I'm getting in a block, is not the same as backing out of a proposed deal.

Also worth mentioning that I'm not closing this block. I just haven't gotten an offer that I would pull the trigger on yet. Steve is the closest, but it still isn't quite what I'm looking for.
