Ya lee makes a point re: backstrom though he has little value going forward. Just the principle behind the move is brutal. 28 other guys coulda put in a claim but they didn't. But hearing about all the shenanigans he's pulled in the past I'm not surprised. The guy is pretty ruthless. Guess you can commend him for it but definitely not a likeable characteristic.

More than anything feel bad for tony but he has to grow a pair and realize SJS is just a rough goalie situation and this league is getting more and more competitive. He's got the brunt end of it but really grosenick isn't that good and dell is likely gonna pass him so not a big loss. Hopefully he gets over it.

I claimed Backstrome b/c I needed a backup. Frazer waving him, I would think means he doesn't want him or he is banking on him not playing. I was willing to take the gamble be he has a NMC. I didn't claim him for any other purpose, than to put him in my lineup, not sell him back to someone or anything like that.

To be fair to Fraser...he's thin in goal and he lost Backstrom to waivers. Believe me, I've been tempted to claim any of the halfway decent AHL goalies that are waived but I don't have the space on my bench for them. I don't get the outrage. I've claimed other teams' guys and I've lost guys in waivers...this how the system works.
