So i entered my players names carefully in the correct column on roster tab. I am getting hits and misses and incomplete data. Is the player database not complete yet? I am not making a comment just an honest question so i can verify if i am entering correctly. Like players that i know have contracts like Ryan Callahan or Vernon fiddler? Should i wait a bit for the database to get more data or am i doing something incorrectly? thanks btw. This looks awesome once i get it fine tuned.

Read some of the previous pages...yes, the database is in progress. I'm hoping to be done with contract info next week.

In the home stretch with current salaries...last 3 teams to finish up. Might have it done tonight or tomorrow.

If you guys want to start using your sheets, send me your e-mail.

With New Jersey currently vacant, I'll put their sheet together.

A lot of our players aren't going to have contract info because they're prospects. The last three teams I'm working on is Ottawa, Tampa and Winnipeg. That would account for all the players with signed contracts or are currently RFAs.

Birthdate/GP will be the next phase of data entry after I finish with the current contracts. Those blanks will fill in over time. I'd like to have that done by the end of the month.

yeah that's key to have Waivers eligibility available

For now, I think we know the majority of players' status without the information being entered.

I'll focus on active NHL veterans first. Then I'll get into the prospects.

We also know that any player without a contract is exempt. Getting the contract info helps with that.

One big hurdle down...contracts are all entered. Please let me know if anyone is having any issues with the info coming through. You should have all the signed players on your roster with the appropriate salary information.

I'll move onto birthdates and GP later today. I'd love to have all that done before the waiver draft but I think having it all ready by the end of the month or for opening night is the most realistic goal.

I sent you my email and asked for permission to edit from within the sheet as well but still only have view only access....guess I'm being removed. :(

I know a few of you have ran into this already but please check your Fantrax roster to verify spelling of your players. There's 1400+ contracts entered. I'm pretty sure I've got all the guys that are signed. Any spelling errors and your info won't show up. Birthdates and GP are missing for a lot of players but I'm working on it.

I promise, next summer will be a lot of smoother since I won't have all this data entry to do.

One thing I've noticed and not sure if this is something common but I have Christoval 'Boo' Nieves and eliteprospects has decided to use his nickname rather than his actual name which caused issues, just something to be aware of.

Again, go with Fantrax. It's something we all use so it made sense to use their spelling. Some of their names are goofy though.

What I will point out is that we have a couple guys with the same name...Erik Karlsson(s) and Sebastian Aho(s). I'll put a middle initial in there to make them different.
