The BBKL Insider wroteCOLONUSA had an ok game, they weren't really challenged. They have a good team and today was more of a tune-up.

They played like they were scrimmaging against a JV team. It's not really a good look. I'd rather see them spank an inferior team rather than playing half speed all game.

Canada's defense sucks. Outside of Myers and Juulsen I haven't been a fan of anyone. Fabbro has been decent when he plays.

So I think my only guys in the WJC may be Mitchell Stephens and Jake Bean on Team Canada.

sadly id say those have been Canada's worst players through 3 pre-tournament games + 1 period of Russia. I have no idea why Mitchell Stephens is on the top line. He's a shutdown centre.

RW with Strome and Dubuis...it's an awful line. Zero chemistry.

Weird. Canada does seem to enjoy bringing a dozen centers to international tournaments and just getting them to play wherever

Canada needs to drop Dubuis to the Brazal line and put Raddysh on the strome line.

I'd hardly call Bean a defender. He is a 4th fwd. Would love to see Fabbro get more minutes. Same goes for Cecconi earlier. For a guy that is supposed to be an all defense no offense defender he sure looks like a damn good passer. Very solid on the breakout.

Speaking of bad d, the Russians are awful. Zone entry has been easy against them and they constantly panic with the puck on their sticks.

Samsonov keeping this a close game.

i really dislike Dubuis in this tournament.

Yeah Canada is all over Russia in this game.

Last goal was pretty weak from Samsonov but the team aren't really giving him a lot of help either

I mean it was yet another turnover in front of his net. One he probably could have had, but pretty difficult to place blame on him on that shot.
