Of course a player like John Carlson will have a terrific season. I'm telling you right now even WITH growth in numbers, my team's offence is significantly better than yours. peripheries is not even a contest.

its not irrelevant LOL. and this is with savard injured all of last season, and vinny having an off year. with oshie, giroux and backes getting top line duties, simmonds putting up more offence, its not even close kareem. my teams offence >>> your teams offence.

It doesn't surprise me that you think that, after all you believe Vincent Lecavalier will put up numbers he hasn't in 4 seasons, and behind a superior centerman no less...But hey, who am I to ruin you're blissful parade.

Sigh...Yes you're offense is better Shiv, even though mine had an injured Getzlaf, Morrow, Kronwall, Gunnarsson, and Kessel, had no production from Kadri, MSP, and Carlson. Not to mention career worst seasons from Tanguay, that and all my players will regress while you're veterans wil continue to improve...

I suppose Howard is better than Miller too. Funny logic you have going there bud.

prospect knowledge wise you, scott, nick, steve are up there for sure but nhl wise you dotn know anything more than myself or anyone else lol. this league is full of people who know what theyre talking about.

Shivs team is elite but unproven goaltending and depth is his shortcoming. He doesnt have call ups for injuries and can't afford a 3 man bench. Those weeks when his middle tier players only have one game could be a massive miss in his planning. No bench will hurt him for sure when his opposition out games him 2-1, those bench players really help to balance out those weeks. I dont care how good your team is eventually your luck will run out and gp will take over.

But don't forget that Kopitar went hot to cold. Reason is he had a great start of the season is that he had great chemistry with Ryan Smyth. When Smyth got injured Kopitar didn't produce at will.

Kopitar with smyth- 34 pts in 26 games but had 33 pts in 22 games

Smyth with Kopitar- 24 pts in 22 games

K With out Smyth- 5 pts in 10 games -2 2PIM

Now you can see that Kopitar can play and there will some great rebound year but I feel that Lecavalier isn't where he was once. He will be a great top 6 player but not a elite player that he was sepose to become.

But Pittsburgh might get the jack pot with Vinny. I just feel he'll be disapointing like last year. Vinny = to overpayed, that's what I believe. By the way I agree you need to study the player before trading him or for him.

CBS projections are so bunk.. before I traded Heatley, Koivu, Seto, Jokinen & Letang.. I was projected at 100+ points above anyone lol and I cannot see my team being the 2nd most offensive team lol

It wasn't projections. It was what the teams did last year, factual stats.

Obviously it doesn't take into consideration injuries, rookies this season, etc. I'm just saying, based on what everybody's team did last year, Shiv has the most points and Scott the 2nd most.

I was more showing that Shiv's team is more than just a periphery slut.

There is nothing factual about using last seasons stats, which ignore: age, rookies, injuries, career best/worst seasons... It doesn't demonstrate shit, and like I said above is irrelevent. If you're goal was to prove Shiv has some elite offence, a simple list of his teams players would have sufficed, and FTR, that was not my point, my point was that he has sacrificed total points for more rounded stats, which is a FACT. Whether or not that makes him top 3 or 5 is useless to me, as far as I'm concerned it's a 3/4 horse race anyways, I'm more concerned with who is the best, and IMO Shiv is not the best in that regard.
