ps Mik, you need to read out existing rules in depth... all your proposing is that you can accept the new UFA deal or not, we already have that...
uh? it's not like you could choose to accept it or not.. it would be about being able to absorb the new contract in your deadline cap in the first place.
Last time i checked we couldn't lose players' rights and free agency didn't exist..

you mean.. your speciality is showing how things could have worked in the past once it's too late? sounds great

your right, we don't make team watch their cap in the off-season. and we won't. there is enough movement in the league as it stands, forcing movement because of a cap situation months ago isn't cool either... or realistic... if i want to move and make room for a contract that is my decision... no need to compare where i was at 3 months ago.

and they would not under what i suggested either.

until someone find a better/fairer method to determine who becomes UFA, the need actually would be there, since (as it looks right now judging by the counters i could read so far) it would really make free agency viable and, as a result, the league much more realistic (but more importantly, even funnier and fairer to everyone in the future imo), albeit through some kind of a trick.
Fantasy leagues are full of 'tricks' to make things work anyway.
if you think considering the cap of a 3 months old roster (actually, the last most recently
active roster) worse than not having any kind of free agency, well.. then we can only disagree.
