Re: [GWT] - Week 3
CBS did a new write up this morning on Erixon and they pretty much said (mind you i'm paraphrasing) "Erixon sucks, he'll be in the minors when everyone is healthy"kyuss wroteCOLONSo..
Regin traded --> 2 pts in the following game after 0 in 9 games (dressed in each of them)
Erixon traded --> first NHL point of the year
Johansson demoted --> scores, 1st point after 0 pts in 6 games (dressed in each of them)
my wake up calls sure work great!
their replacement obv did nothing
not exactly a good week so far.
Re: [GWT] - Week 3
Dubinsky doesn't get suspended after getting his 20 PIMs, Zubrus joins injured Shlemko and Granlund is scratched.
mmh.. this week looks more and more like a fucked one.

Re: [GWT] - Week 3
Expect a 0-16-0 loss from me this week if Rinne gets a shut out, as there is no hope in hell I'd win/tie any other categories. Unless one of my Isles goalies get a shut out this weekend
Re: [GWT] - Week 3
Yep. Rinne shut out. Put me out of my misery now
Re: [GWT] - Week 3
Next week's matchup: TBL
Track record against TBL in 2012: 0-16-0

Re: [GWT] - Week 3
i've gotta thank Pete for being crappy, cause if i was playing a good team i'd be getting pounded
Re: [GWT] - Week 3
3 week breakdown of team performances and characteristics:
Steve & Mike are showing the power of depth and roster diversity; 182 GP each, that's 60 more then the bottom teams (119/120) - closest correlating stat to GP show the importance of an active roster, as they are tired for 1st in SOG as well (373). CGY, MIN PIT & CBJ right near the top.
Riding their keepers, Anton & Lee benefiting from team wins, meanwhile FLA (Chris), NYI (Tony) & MIN (Hong) - are at or near the top of each goaltending save-based category.
In the scoring categories there is one prevalent trend: (MY) tampa bay lightning, G(1), A(2),Pts(1), SOG(3), Stpts(2), GWG (4), Mike's leafs are right there across the board as well, continuing down that trend, a majority of the heavy scoring is in the east (4 of 5).
On the non-scoring skater statistics we see much more diversity. SHTOI is led by CBJ, SJS, NYI, PIT + NJD/MIN , some similarity to the Hits list with BOS, CBJ, PIT, NYI & NYR. FOW is TBL & TOR by some margin early in the year. The randomness that is +/- spread equalling between conferences: MIN, NJD, TBL, NSH & TOR.
Teams are still settling in to their numbers, especially goalies, but timing of match-ups, GP & luck will play a big factor in any given week.

Re: [GWT] - Week 3
Nice write up Nick, fun to read.
Re: [GWT] - Week 3
Ducks have 4 games this week, Hiller starting game 3 of 4, gives up 2 goals in the first, Fasth starts the second period ... with back-to-backs I doubt Hiller starts tomorrow
Hiller plays all of 1 period for the week and Billy's team ... are there minimum games for starts? I don't remember ...
