Guesses for Malkin's suspension?
That has gotta be 3+ games, right? If Staal were injured from that Tamahack it would be a 15+
Few others coming out as well... Guessing 2-4gp for dummy in washington, and an apology to Backes/Blues from the ref; fucking detroit always gets the calls.

I'd be surprised if he got any.
Staal was molesting him with his stick, vicious 2 hander before that. Crosschecked him in the face on the ground.
If Malkin's name was Joe Smith this would be a non-issue. He'd be praised for taking all the lumber from Staal and showing some great intensity. But because a Russian makes a stick infraction after Staal commits 3, he's being compared to Hitler.

Sorry shep, overhand stick swing is not, and has never been okay.
Lots of tough north americans with suspensions for swinging sticks, especially if hit to head. You calling bias on this one is comical IMO.

It's not like he Marty McSorley'd him. Staal gets a pass for everything he does as usual.
He won't get suspended so its a non-issue.

If that contacts face instead of helmet brim this would be the biggest story of the early-season.
Ye suspension didn't happen... but what are you talking about Staal getting a pass? It was a battle you can seen almost any night,up until Marc's slash in response to Gino's last poke, which is far and away the worst thing Marc did in the entire sequence. Gino with contact to Marc's head multiple times during the play, from the first hit through to the puck battle and after the scrum begins. You were up in arms over Weber's helmet into glass on Zetty (complete with visor), yet believe an axe swing is a non-issue.
