6.6 for 8 years...my guess. He wont be less than Wheeler.

Man, I think I've had as many of free agents sign in Europe as I've had in the NHL...Pither and Murray along with handful of others already. With my luck, Ryan Whitney flies the coop next. Good thing is that none of the guys that left were NHL-quality...maybe Wandell or Mursak, I suppose. Makes my list of possible cuts easier to choose from...sitting at 89 players right now.

5.5-5.75 cap hit would be my guess by comparable contracts. As an RFA though, WPG could catch a break.

I could handle 6.6 if Cody is 4.2 or less. 10.81 is the combined room I have for them. I figure 6 is a safe high end cap for Bogo, 5 a safe high end cap for Cody, if they both hit it, means I need to dress a cheaper waiver exempt player while the rest (injuries) is sorted out.

I'm guessing 5.75-6 for bogo. The longer he doesn't sign for, the more I think he will be. Don't see cody being higher than 4.2 though, so you should be good.

Man I would really like 5.5 for Bogo and 4M for Cody. Both 4 year deals.

A little over 5M, that is a very good deal for the Jets. Bogosian is likely already worth close to that, and with improvements could obviously be worth alot more; I think this will look great in a few years once the cap and player salaries rise.

yup nice contract going forward. thought it was going to be a lot worse. I guess he wanted term more than bank.

I thought it would be closer to 4.5M personally, but obviously was not banking on Bogosian receiving a 7 year term. It's a good move for both sides when you think about it, the Jets get a good piece with upside locked up to a cap friendly deal for the foreseeable future, and Bogosian gave himself financial security for the next seven seasons, and that is never a bad move.
