agreed. watched in my phone originally and wanted just a fine but after I watched it on a tv I didn't see any way he wouldn't get at least 2 regular season games. well shanny surprises yet again lol.

yea I expected only 2 for kessel because he is a star player that plays on the leafs and not a scrub. Im super shocked considering his other stick incident in philly which was also pretty pathetic.

Taking a big picture look at the situation, taking two top-6 forwards for that situation would be excessive. He now has a prior offense should he re-offend - it's by no means a harsh fine - but this is also a message in regards to a pure goon trying to jump a star (without any cause I might add) - star doesn't have to take it, and can use his stick (below the waist) to keep the goon at bay.


2nd swing is bad intent, and the last poke is silly... but message the same.
