Fun league, but if your expectations are for it to be similar to BBKL for trades and activity you will be let down. 40 round fantasy draft was used to create the 24 teams so people drafted players they wanted and valued more than others at that draft slot. This has resulted in low trade activity for season one since why would a GM trade a player they took in round 22 for a player drafted in round 26? If they wanted that player they could have drafted them in rounds 23-26 themselves.

Much more casual and laid back with less required posts and Dave is one hell of an organizer and keeps track of a lot of things for GMs. We even have our own Mik with a guy from Europe who is in Croatia and a girl from Cali who I'd wager knows her hockey better than half the GMs in this league and is a big advanced stats proponent. For people who love fantasy hockey and talking puck with others it's a great chance to join a new league just starting out that doesn't require even a 1/2 of the time commitment needed for BBKL.

Also for anyone wondering how this league that is so close to BBKL came about I think I mentioned it when I first joined, but last year I met Scott Smith in a now defunct shitty little league that he caused a bunch of problems in and was kicked out of. Before he left he decided he was starting his own league, which turned out to be a rip off of BBKL before I knew what BBKL even was. To me it just seemed like a cool new scoring system that was different than the regular points based ones. We were weeks into our draft and Scott was being his usual assholish self and ripped off a couple trades and other GMs were annoyed with him and calling him out. He then deleted the entire league erasing the weeks of drafting that were done. A few of us wanted to try this new league still so we rebooted it without Scott and invited back members and found some new GMs.

Also anyone who joins gets to experience how much better Fantrax is in comparison to CBS.

Huge Sharks fan, going to University for engineering I think so a smart one too.

Thought of her when the CLB spot opened, but she might not fit in here. Seems easily offended and maybe a little too politically correct as she didn't like a trade being referred to as rape in the other league.
