Today is the last day of the NHL regular season so I'm assuming playoffs are starting on Wednesday. I'm starting the BBKL FORECAST FANTASY POOL as promised. Here is the format:

ADMIN RULES

1) Picks must be submitted BEFORE the first playoff game of each round. I.e. if Round 1 starts Wednesday and the first game is 7 pm, your picks MUST BE IN BEFORE that.
2) YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBMIT YOUR PICKS AFTER THE FIRST GAME OF THE FIRST SERIES OF ANY ROUND.
3) If you submit your picks and want to make a change that is fine but it HAS TO BE BEFORE THE FIRST PLAYOFF GAME.
4) Before each round begins, every GM must submit their picks BEFORE THE FIRST GAME OF THE FIRST SERIES.
5) NO exceptions will be made if picks are submitted after the first game starts.
6) Standings will be updated at the end of each round.

BASIC POINTS SYSTEM

1) At the beginning of each NHL Playoff Round, every GM forecasts who they think is going to win in each series.
2) 2 Points is awarded for determining who wins the series and 1 Additional Point is awarded for picking who wins the series AND in correctly forecasting in how many games. (i.e. if the Caps win the first round in 6 games, ONLY those who predicts Caps to win are eligible for the additional point).
3) At the beginning of every round, each GM will forecast the next round of matchups.
4) At the end of the playoffs, the GM totalling the highest # of points will receive an award (i.e. The Don Cherry Award).

ADDITIONAL POINTS

1) Before Round 1 BEGINS, each GM will forecast the Easter Conference Final and Western Conference Final matchups. Every correct team chosen will be awarded 1 point for a maximum of 4 Points.

2) Before Round 1 BEGINS, each GM will forecast the Stanley Cup Final. Every correct team chosen will be awarded 3 Points for a maximum of 6 Points.

3) Before Round 1 BEGINS, each GM will forecast the Stanley Cup Champions. Choosing the Correct Team will be awarded 5 Points.

4) Before Round 1 BEGINS, each GM will forecast which Goalie will get the most SHUTOUTS in the playoffs. Choosing the right Goalie will be awarded 3 Points.

5) Before Round 1 BEGINS, each GM will forecast which Skater will get the most POINTS in the playoffs. Choosing the right Skater will be awarded 3 Points.

TIE BREAKERS

IF teams are tied in the standings at the end of the playoffs, the following will be the tie breakers in order of priority.

1) Predicting the correct Stanley Cup winner.
2) Predicting the higher number of Stanely Cup Finalists.
3) Predicting the higher number of Conference Finalists.
4) Predicting more match-ups correctly in total (ONLY THE WINNER in each match-up, NOT the number of games).
5) Predicting more of match-ups correctly in the correct number of games (IF both people have tied in each of the above tie breakers INCLUDING predicting an equal number of match ups, the team that predicts the correct number of games for each correct match-up chosen will win).

Here is a sample format of what would be submitted before Round 1 begins.

(1) WSH vs (8) MTL: Forecast: MTL in 4 (IF MTL actually wins this series in 4 games, the GM with the right preditions will be awarded 3 points - 2 for picking MTL to win and 1 for picking the right number of games).
