Games Played Question

4-6 : Each team is required to have at least one thousand one hundred (1100) games played by their skaters over the course of the season

We have a 21 week season and we are in week 11 so we have reached the halfway point. When I look at the year to date fantasy stats for all teams on CBS only 3 teams have 550+ games or half of what is needed for the minimum. We have a team at 424 and teams at 452, 452 and 454, it seems unrealistic that a team who put up 424 in the first half will put up 676 in the 2nd half. Was 1100 always the minimum? Seems high for 21 weeks that works out to 52.4 games per week so with 18 skaters dressed a week you pretty much need to average 3 games played per player and not have injuries to reach 1100.

GP keeps counting into the playoffs. I know we need to update this to reflect our regular season.

it is based on 82gp x18 skaters = just under 1500gp, 300+ gp or 3 players missing more than 10 weeks is a lot of leeway. MOST weeks we require teams to have 15 active bodies to make the required GP...

I forget if goalies count.

What about the teams that don't make the playoffs? Just trying to figure out how many GP I need without being penalized as it will affect the lineup I dress on a weekly basis.

So Eller plays 10 NHL games after I'm eliminated from the playoffs and those 10 games still count towards my GP? I think that is what you mean.

Correct, regardless of whether your team makes the playoffs or not, you still have your GP count towards the total through those 5 weeks.

Ya, if you go to Players-> Stats then the drop down bar to choose a team pick "team totals" have source as Fantasy and time as YTD and you get a report showing all teams GP, and some various stats.

Haha still have 32GP more than your injury riddled team. Wasn't at all worried since I'm ahead of 9 teams, I just realized we were half way through our season and I wasn't half way to 1100. Thanks for the clarification guys.

I've added some bodies so I think I'll make it when all is said and done, first half of the season or so I barely had a roster with injuries and incomplete defense.

further to this, if you click on projections in timeframe, it will give you an idea of what your year end total will be
