I usually don't post till I find a 3-way partner to make sure I'm under the cap. In this case, it was easy as I had some room.

Stafford sucks IMO

Stafford is only 28 and has a proven track record of putting up 50 Points, 100 Hits, 75 SHTOI and 225 SOG. But a bad year makes you down right useless/career over/"this guy sucks" in bbkl's "what have you done for me lately" universe.

I made this trade betting on the fact that Stafford will likely be traded by BUF by the deadline. Being on Buffalo has hurt a lot of players (Hodgson, Ehrhoff etc.) when they are all individually a lot better than their stats show. Stafford will rebound for sure.

now that Buffalo has Tim Murray as GM, things will turn around there. He is a smart guy.

Curious what a UFA Grabovski will make on his next deal coming off a good year. Might be close to what Toronto bought him out at unless he wants to take less to stay in Washington. Don't mind the buy low on Stafford, but thought Krejci would be held onto if this was the best return as he was touted as a #1 with "an 85-90 point season in him".

I like it for Billy, but it gives Shiv more quality depth to work with.

Lol, if there is a player on the Bruins with 85-90 points in them, its not under Julien or his system. They have one of the best 4th lines in the league who routinely get solid minutes. There is almost never a forward getting over 18 mins of ice time a game. No way in hell does Krejci pull off a 90 point season. Julien isn't going anywhere and neither is Krejci.
