i think I like what Steve is getting better..I like Eberle but I dont really like him for this league. Santo has been having a pretty solid year this year..but somethings up with him right now. Might be out long term.

Steve wins if kadri keeps rolling well and scores 65+ because pommy still has several s left. I just overpaid for eberles value/age into mix and think hes a superior player over Kadris risk. I like that eberle pks even tho limited

i'm not defending or discrediting paul here, but i dont understand how u guys dont like eberle?

not trolling or trying to start a fight, but he's the oilers best/most complete forward, and by a long shot.

I think Steve rapes big time.

It's relative to Kadri. Not sure what Eberle brings over someone like Kadri in this league. Yes, he has some SHTOI but I wouldnt bank on him being a consistent SHTOI for the rest of his career. SHTOI is rather unpredictable with top 6 forwards as a lot of it depends on the team he's on and the coaching style. Just look at Pominville.

I think Kadri and Eberle are pretty close to a wash at this point tbh. And its obvious Pominville + 1st >> Santorelli + 2nd.

And its not discrediting Paul or anything because everyone sees values in players differently and he may like Eberle more than me or Bruyns or dislike Kadri more than us.

ya i already know ppl will call rape for steve, but I consider Eberle a MUCH safer and better option going forward, not to mention for me it was going from yakupov to kadri to eberle with a marginal loss on pominville to santorelli. Pommy will keep producing well but i just think his role in MIN isnt close to what he got in BUF so with his age going into 30's his scoring pace will decline. Heatley was a much better player in his prime than pommy, and it seems like he's dying already.

Santorelli isn't a bad centre option for stats either. He's not close to Kadri in terms of upside but many have doubts about Kadri's untapped potential. Eberle is only 23 and has scored 76 pts in a season which is something Kadri couldn't touch as his career progressed similar in years to Eberle. I think it's Eberle possessing that untapped upside.

Kadri scored 44 points in 48 points last year as a 22 year old. Kadri was pretty close to "touching" what Eberle did as a 23 year old imo.

Having said that, you might believe that Kadri's season last year was more of an abberation than what he should be capable of down the road...which is totally fine.

I was going to say something similar to that but beat me to it. I give a full season ability much more credit over a shortened one. However I still give Kadri quite a credit for it, because they had to play under tighter schedule and generally more games per week than a full season's load
