Solid trade gents
Re: MTL - ANA Deal
I'm with Billy, I like this trade for Cliff because I think MP is a flash - doesn't pass the 'eye' test.
Re: MTL - ANA Deal
Love this for cliffy. First off love billy for saying mp and not mp85, he hasnt worn 85 in a while. Mp was ppg after 15+ games and has since peter'd off and eventually replaced on both the 2nd and third lines. Getting a big minute dman for a 4th liner is a steal.
I understand why chuck makes this deal though, especially with orlov playing so well.

Re: MTL - ANA Deal
Yea, right time to get rid of MP22. Sell high while he has those stats. Too much depth in anaheim with the injured players returning. He is a bubble 4th line player who is also getting pressbox time. Cliff did the Atlantic a favor.....

I hate every player in this deal, so it's pretty fair

Re: MTL - ANA Deal
For me it was pretty much a bench swap. Comeau doesnt make my starting roster, and hes not even my first injury call up...meaning Comeau is wastng cap sitting on my bench making him completely expendable to me.
Same goes for Daley. Shook had it right that Orlov's play allowed me the opportunity to dump Daley who became a redundant asset as I'd rather have periph heavy guys like Orlov, Bellemore and Olsen in before Daley (and for 1/3rd of the cap!)
In the mean time FOW and offense are my weakest cats by far so at the very least I can afford to stash Perrault on my bench and call him up when I need the extra draws/points for a matchup. Otherwise I roll with Matthias who nets me the hits and SHTOI that my team is built around.
The point of the deal was just matchup flexibility for my team, like Bruyns said I feel its a win-win for both Cliffy and I.

That's how I looked at just not so in depth. Figured Daley and Comeau both aren't the greatest and you needed a cheap C instead. Cliff gets two serviceable regulars in return.Chuck Norris wroteCOLONFor me it was pretty much a bench swap.
