I'm trying to clean up my spreadsheet. Do i need special privileges to be able to sort the table? It says i do. I just want to sort by position.

It depends which columns you are selecting. Don't sort the locked ones.i have no special privileges and occasionally I re-sort

Select from column "A" over to GP (or w/e last column before waiver required column), than sort as you wish.

you must realize u cant just shuffle these columns any way u want without compromising # of contracts/total player count.
yOU probably cant alter or just use functions like sort to make it look nice. u have to do EVERYTHING manually bro lol, by copying and pasting the ENTIRE ROW (unlocked portion) of players up and down the spreadsheet into places u want it to be
i wil use a simple hypotehtical example
(for example u want ur #1 C Getzlaf on the very top of the page but hes on the 3rd row)
what u need to do is copy one entire row of whoever is on the very top, paste it into the very bottom row where there is free space
move up or down the row u want to by copying and pasting getzlaf into the very top row
and then take the pasted bottom most row again back into the row where getzlaf was previously to replace him (3rd row)
and then completely delete the pasted bottom row player info so that it doesnt count against player count (you'd end up with two rows with one same player info)
u cant cut and paste shit on this doc cuz it somehow thinks ur trying to fuck with the player count (if u notice column 'J' is assigned value of 1.0 to count towards contracted players only) so u gotta just copy paste, delete the original copied row that u dont want it to be there, paste replace into new row etc
it's seriously fuckin complex to actually re-arrange the entire roster to make it look nice... to sort positionally. Trust me... AND without trying to fuck up ur player count/contract count ur computer programming knowledge dont do shit for this u need self-intuition (like i seriously said)
I will seriously do a teamviewer demonstration if need be
I am absolutely anal on keeping my google doc in a manner u want it to make it look, so i do it every week and its no big deal to me, however 28 of u in bbkl would never think of wanting to waste time doing that... it takes a long long time lol

Lol, Thanks Paul. I looked closer and yes you are correct. For some reason i was thinking the locked right side was a separate sheet when in fact it is all the same rows. Cant sort that without fucking all the other shit up. I appreciate organization which is why it sucks i am blocked at work cause thats when i used to get the most bbkl work done, lol. I was more or less frustrated by not having access to change formatting etc. I wanted to make it pretty but i'll just keep it simple.

lol, yea, I assume we all have a ritual or go to sites they use to get through the day. One i have been using lately which i find informative is that fantasy911. Very useful in determining lines, pp, and pk by toi and percentage of toi by each game.

I'm more amazed "river' here can take a screen shot.
Shiv likely commenting on the bar at the bottom - I'm guessing.
