seems to be a fairly easy concept that some of you have a hard time with. Seems like all the guys who complain are often the hardest to trade with as well. Maybe change how you approach a deal and you'll get more PMs?

I've shopped the pick for a while and like both demers and Clarkson. 2 decent players for the pick has been much better than anything I've been offered. Clarkson also fits well with the team I'm building and I prefer McGinn over Leivo.

I didn't think I'd be offered 2 good players for the pick on draft day since I think there are 4 guys who will be gone that I wanted and wasn't going to risk not getting an offer I preferred over this.

I wud like this deal if the pick was 10th overall. But not for VANs 4th

I like this trade, for both parties.

it shows how steve is willing to take a deal on value even if it puts him over cap in the summer when it doesn't matter, knowing that he's still a piece worth having.


I also think Demers + Clarkson are worth having - and a reasonable price.

Clarkson will get his mins; golden contract in the early years.
