Emmerton just left for the KHL, Harrold is a part-timer, nothing special...Pyatt is at least a solid journeyman winger. And he's got to give up that 3rd (I assume) to Tony. By the numbers, Matt got the best player.

He signed with the Sochi expansion team last week. He definitely wasn't going to have a job in Detroit. Figured that's why you were throwing Emmerton in.

Didn't expect him to be in the opening night lineup but ffigured he would be in the AHL and be an injury call up if needed

He gave up a guy who is at best an 8min a night goon, good chance Harrold plays more minutes next year! and even though he has to give away the 3rd...it's still there.
I didn't know about Emmerton.

Actually true. I didnt realize this but matt overpaid for a really shitty depth. If he gave up those pieces for say brian flynn or steve downie it wudve been murder.
So i now say this is fair deal

Yep he got quite a bit for a limited checker. He needed the 3rd so whatever. Everyone else including myself would have made him overpay.
