Rakell is nice, but 10th overall is nicer IMO. Meh.

I can gamble on a player breaking into the NHL, or I can gamble on a junior 2-3 years away from breaking into the NHL. I'm happier with the safer gamble at this stage, especially after Fiala was off the board.

I'm not sure I understand how this makes a difference though. Value is in the position of the pick, no? Not the original owner of the pick?

at this point i'd take Rakell over Virtanen, fair deal IMO
