Not looking for 2 for 1s or prospects for my NHL players. Would prefer adding prospects/picks to upgrade a player, but I'm still building for a couple seasons out and 31 year old Matt Greene is my oldest player so I'm not looking to trade youth for veterans this season. Willing to make 1 for 1 deals so if you have interest in a certain player let me know and maybe there is a deal to be made.

He was acquired during the Phion days and on Phion's 2012-13 submission. Don't know that we can hold Matt accountable for Phion's mistakes. There's no record of the asset being traded or dropped so I think we should assume BUF still owns it.

I do remember BUF owning him back when I was helping Phion get roster compliant and to my recollection don't think we dropped him in the process.

I have a few assets I'd like to forget about as well until they sign an NHL contract.

The attached image was what I was told to go off of when I took over for Phion and was told the list of assets wasn't up to date. Lehtera was owned by Topher and has always been in the Sabres organization, I don't see how it's my fault it wasn't on the spreadsheet Phion had and from searching Lehtera has always been part of the Sabres organization and if he was on the assets I was provided with I would have listed him each week since he was a prospect with no contract.

The precedent for this was already set since I was awarded Gaudreau since he was part of the Sabres organization and not on the spreadsheet I attached and was given either. I don't know how I was supposed to know I owned players not on that spreadsheet and why I should be punished for Phion's poor bookkeeping.

If it was a player I had listed as my asset at some point and forgot to put him on roster submission I would accept responsibility and lose ownership, but Gaudreau and Lehtera were both players I owned and wasn't aware since they weren't on the spreadsheet of assets I was told I owned.

The question is being brought up now because I see a player who, though searching BBKL, appeared to be unowned.

Your question was more of a snide accusation, to which I reply: go fuck yourself.

I'm holding the #1 waiver pick and I actually mentioned Lehtera to him because I see that he does have him on his offseason sheet. You do a search on this site and the last record of him was when Phion was running the team.

I'm not going to refute his rights to him...I'm already looking at other options for the #1 pick. However, there should a seamless ownership of assets when a new guy takes over...everything that last guy had, the new guy should have. But, if someone falls through the cracks, they should be open to the entire league. You shouldn't have to doubt whether guy belongs to a team or not. They need to be listed somewhere on this site and on the spreadsheet along with Fantrax.

Phion was pretty awful at keeping track of anything he owned. I think we expected a few guys to fall through the cracks, we also said if we could track guys down phion missed we would realocate those player to the buffalo roster.

He's not listed on this site by Bruyns, but he's listed by both Topher and Phion, and Matt owns him on fantrax, is there literally no other time when a guy has missed a player on a spreadsheet and maintained a record on the tracking site? I can understand if Matt has been told an asset is missing and refuses to update his info, but assuming that's not the case not sure what the issue is being civil about this.
