Didn't want to do it, my own fault for not noticing the rise in the cap floor.

Should have made Steve give you a pick too, but not a bad trade as MacDonald will likely play a lot in Philly.

Blocks a lot of shots since he is a terrible possession player who routinely concedes the blue line to opposing players and his team allows significantly more shots on goal when he is on the ice as opposed to off.

lots of us read that breakdown -> not really a ton of data to support it. But holding the blueline is as much a factor of forwards adding backpressure as it is on the dman holding the line.

Bruyns wroteCOLONand his team allows significantly more shots on goal when he is on the ice as opposed to off.
He played huge shutdown minutes against top line opponents on a team that lacked defensive structure -> that is basically to be expected. Guy is right there with the best dman on relative-corsi, he was leaned on huge by NYI.

Was bad in Philly too. I know he is a good for BBKL stats and will be leaned on again in Philly with Timonen out. Orpik is also a monster for blocks and unlike AMac he hits a ton too, but both players aren't that good in the NHL and overpaid.

Care to provide something to back that statement up that he is one of the best dman on relative-corsi?

"his relative Corsi and relative Fenwick -- two measurements of shots for and against with a player on the ice compared to those same totals without that player on the ice -- ranked dead last among all NHL defensemen who played more than 62 games, according to extraskater"

If you meant his QOC was among the toughest in the league this article does a good job explaining how QOC affects are overstated. http://nhlnumbers.com/2012/7/23/the-imp ... ompetition
