Mike Ribeiro

He has a 1 million dollar cap hit.
Ribeiro has put up 13 points in 16 games which is typical for him.
Ribeiro Centers James Neal and Filip Forsberg on Nashville's top line who are point machines.
Ribeiro has 138 FOWs.
Of the Centermen who have won as many or more faceoffs as Ribeiro and have an equal to or better than point pace as Ribeiro, the cheapest Centerman is Ryan Johansen at 4 million. He will cost a lot more than Ribeiro in cap space and assets one must move to acquire that Centerman.
This is the best option for a team hoping to contend looking to acquire a scoring & faceoff intensity/cap for one of their Center roster spots.
A package similar to the one below with a (+ good prospect) is the package i require. I will not ask for more or less. Ribeiro is better and cheaper than Richards. Ribeiro has won twice as many Faceoffs as Richards. Ribeiro is playing 19 minutes a game on a 1st line as opposed to Richards playing 12 on a 2nd/3rd line.
To CAR:
Brad Richards
2016 5th rounder (BOS)
To NSH:
Dwight King
2015 3rd rounder (STL)
2016 2nd rounder (BUF)
2016 2nd rounder(LAK)
2016 4th rounder (CAR)
Ribeiro and Richards are the same age. Ribeiro will likely get around 20-25 more points due to circumstance. Ribeiro will likely get close to 2x as many faceoffs, and more hits. Ribeiro is getting 19 min toi including 3 min toi per game.
Ribeiro has a 1M cap hit to Richards 2M.
This is a fair package considering there is only 1 of him. The market has shown his worth in the above trade. A team hoping to contend will be in a position to add a high quality asset to win bbkl for futures and assets that will not be at full potential over the next two BBKL seasons.

I think at the deadline Ribeiro can get a 1st + player from a contender due to such a low cap hit with high production. Likely the only guy with this low cap hit and high production not on a rookie contract. The only other guys with a low cap hit will be prospects that the non-playoff teams wont be willing to move, but will be trying to get.
I figured i would put this out here now so that those teams could obtain him before the deadline and get a better playoff position. I'll just wait if those offers are not available.

historically you want to do your shopping and selling before our deadline. At the deadline most of the big deals are done.

Ribeiro and Richards are the same age. Ribeiro will likely get around 15-20 more points. Ribeiro will likely get close to 2x as many faceoffs, and more hits. Ribeiro is getting 19 min toi including 3 min toi per game.
Richards will get more shots.
