To CAR:
Henrik Sedin (7.000)
2015 3rd rounder (CLB)
To VAN:
Johnny Gaudreau (1.850)
Daniel Briere (4.000)
holy moly sedin is old... but he's still a top tier centerman whose career is still far from over

Vancouver does this deal all day everyday for the rest of his life. Paul, what have you been teaching me about value!

Yea Henrik is having a dominant season. The Sedin's look as good as they have ever been this year, and it wouldn't surprise me if you get another 3 or so seasons at this level of production. The Sedin's play a style of game that doesn't regress as quickly with age as players more dependent on skating or physicality, after multiple trade talks it appears that Henrik was highly undervalued in this league, so I'm happy that I was able to get at least a single potential cornerstone player out of him. Paul wins this though for sure.

I can afford Gaudreau away if it means getting a first line centre whose career in my opinion, is not close to being done. Type of player hank is I think he produces respectable numbers til he's 40
Getting Gallagher made me ok with this deal since I LOVVEEEE FOW

There were plenty of opportunities to land H. Sedin. I was receiving offers centered around 30+ers and meddling depth NHLers, the instant I pushed for the inclusion of a potential top young talent talks died, didn't seem anyone could get over the idea of picking up a productive 34yr old. Those who think the value is low I agree, so you should've sent me an offer!

Fraser - shoulda sat around on that one man... Hank is worth wayyy more than gaudreau! AND you gave up a pick too... Kim makes out like a bandit.

I think the problem with getting value for sedin in bbkl is that the teams that can currently compete dont have 7 million in cap space, and the teams rebuilding that have the cap space dont want to give a big piece of the rebuild up. It's the 7 million + age that locks up your opportunities.
If only there was another 34 year old centerman that was producing pt/gm, but only making 1/7th of Sedin...
RIBEIRO.

And needless to say that's why I am the perfect recipient of this sedin asset.

This is what I got a few months ago for Hank:
To San Jose Sharks:
- David Legwand
- Emile Poirier
- Anthony Camara
To Vancouver Canucks:
- Henrik Sedin
- 2015 5th rounder (SJ)
VAN lost a bit but not much...

Gaudreau still has 15 pts in 21 games guys... he's not like a write-off... as a former 5th round draft pick (much like Gallagher), the fact he ended up getting this much attention and hype after his breakout college production year says something.
Rookie season production in the NHL level right now shows he can stick with the big guns as a 5'8" midget. High risk high reward type guys never do end up selling hot in our league though, so I feel fortunate.

He has scored 15 points in his last 15 games too.

did I mention he still actually hasn't put on extra muscles going into the NHL season this year?... he literally just straight up jumped in the league as is - 157 lbs weigh-in. That's insane if you think about it when you know you're going into a league average of 185+ lbs and a lot of guys being 200+
He's most likely a MSL type guy in the making, a playmaker type guy next to a budding star like Monahan. Yes, only knock on him is his size - everyone knows this but man... Not sure if anybody ever watched CGY games this year I seriously didn't wanna give him up. He plays VERY well for his stature, and is actually surprisingly strong on his feet and on the puck. He doesn't get knocked around easily.
