Move done out of necessity with Cody McCormick's unfortunate news of a blood clot. We've see too many of those lately and it takes a bit of time for guys to return. I need to maintain GP but I also have a pretty important week against Dallas where I have to take as many categories as I can. I was very disappointed with my matchup against Florida.

If Mitchell starts shtoi again he will be a really nice pickup, as he has been playing great of late. I am still pretty happy grabbing 2 first round picks for him, and hope McNeill will make his NHL debut in Chicago sometime this season.

Id think scott could have grabbed a better center if he made a block for that price.

Thought McNeill was having a good year

McNeill is doing well right now for Rockford...kinda tough to see him go. I acknowledge the value loss for a short term help. I lost Skille over the weekend for a couple weeks and now McCormick. I know Matthew has been trying to move some of guys for a while so I figured I'd talk to him first.

he is, and according to the TSN hockey panel they believe he's moved at the deadline for playoff depth/help.

em.. and to be exact... u traded with the wrong guy.. and the worst you can get value from and rape you the most out of all GMs I know...
like... I get offered a 5th for my best goalie prospect... why do you even trade with him!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!

Don't fret over it, Hong....it's the cost of trying to keep a legal lineup/roster. Without my 1st round pick, I'm in this weird spot where I'm going to finish near the bottom and I feel a moral obligation to Shep or whomever has my pick in the spring that I don't screw them over. I also don't want the collateral damage that would come from the GP fines.
I wanted to get something done before the lock today and honestly, it's best for me to try to negotiate trades during work hours. The McCormick news came out later in the day yesterday. I would've done a block if the stakes got a little higher with Matthew. I've got my best prospect depth that I've had in years...I can move a couple guys but I don't want to drain the pool and I won't.

seriously
make blocks and listen to all offers. John Mitchell is decent but probably worth McNeil and that's it.
