Anaheim Ducks vs Pittsburgh Penguins - Pittsburgh has just moved talent for youth, but lets face it, they are still the superior bird.
Calgary Flames vs Washington Capitals - With no real threat from others in their division Cgy isn't too worried about falling below 3rd in the Pacific this year, but there is a big gap to catch 2nd. Washington is 1 point behind Pitts in the Metro for 1st.
Edmonton Oilers vs New York Rangers - 10th in the east, NYR 5 straight wins are paying off. There is light at the end of the tunnel. They are only 10 points out of the playoffs.
Los Angeles Kings vs Philadelphia Flyers - Phi hopes to be humiliated in front of his lordship. Losing seems to get this guy off. Ah well, there's always next year.
Arizona Coyotes vs New Jersey Devils - This could have been an easy week on the shore, but NJD are without a healthy goalie!
San Jose Sharks vs New York Islanders - Islanders need to do something. in the past month and a half Pitts and Wash have both passed them. A couple bad weeks, and this "contender" could be scrambling come the last week of the season. SJS just needs to play avg over the final weeks. Sitting 9th Buffalo should be happy with just a tie, as TBL face stiff competition.
Vancouver Canucks vs Carolina Hurricanes - After a few stellar weeks, Carolina doesnt seem to have gained the ground everyone believed they could, as they still sit 24th.
Boston Bruins vs Winnipeg Jets - WPG is 3 points behind STL for 8th in the west, but as STL has the far easier matchup, the jets hope for a miracle vs the bruins.
Buffalo Sabres vs Columbus Blue Jackets - CBJ are finally healthy, and Buff is not. This seems like a possible upset week if the jackets weak defense doesnt hold them back.
Detroit Red Wings vs Nashville Predators - Bobrovsky is injured? *sniff, sniff* This matchup smells like an upset.
Florida Panthers vs St. Louis Blues - The blues hope to separate themselves from the Jets for the stretch. With a new goaltending duo, that may be a task they can complete. The Panthers lay in no man's land - They are very likely to get the 7th, 8th or 9th pick in this draft.
Montreal Canadiens vs Dallas Stars - Montreal has creeped from 18th in the league at the beginning of December to 8th. With a surefire landslide this week, they could move into the top 5. Dallas looks to extend their undefeated streak to 2.
Ottawa Senators vs Minnesota Wild - Minnesota stole 1st in the Central last week. This week they hope to create a buffer; however, the sens, with a finally healthy roster, could become a late season spoiler for playoff teams hoping for an easy week.
Tampa Bay Lightning vs Chicago Blackhawks - GAME OF THE WEEK 7th in the West (277 pts) vs 8th in the East (287 pts). This Match may have major Playoff ramifications when all is said and done. Good Luck, Boys!
Toronto Maple Leafs vs Colorado Avalanche - One can only assume Colorado will destroy a team who was sullied by 30th overall last week.
