I like it for Josh, but not a believer in Puempel. Coburn was blocking one of Zadorov/Nurse for me and Clifford fits my team build very well and saves another 3M even though I lose a little value.

Like this for Josh. He got the best piece in the deal imo. Kim basically traded one overpaid under performer going from Chara to Coburn in these two deals. Being in rebuild mode I would have stuck it out with Merrill rather than pay for past performance in Coburn.

Merrill would have stayed if josh wasn't gonna offer up anything remotely less than Puempel as an add. Thought on it hard and in my own opinion Merrills upside in bbkl format vs what coburn can offer up favoured me towards coburn

I wish Paul still had his roster before he traded for Kesler. I think that team would have been a force next year.

I don't think Coburn ever approaches the kind of stats he did a few years ago. He really had the perfect situation in Philly to produce killer peripheral stats, but has slowly declined statistically. On a team he is less relied upon? I just don't see it.

U might be right. Philly uses their defensive dmen like brutes. Great for bbkl, but hard on the players bodies id imagine. Thats their style tho
Hope in retrospect, TBL maybe uses him on pp a bit more. I cant complain of coburn can up his pts a bit at the cost of lesser periphs. Hes still one of the best penalty killers hands down imo. Id say top 7 still

I feel pretty safe in saying this, Coburn will NEVER, I repeat NEVER, be a regular on the PP. If you need to use Coburn on the PP, you may as well call it a season. He has zero offensive awareness, makes the worst breakout passes up the ice, and is a general liability with the puck on his stick in his own zone. Oh and for as big as he is doesn't have a very hard shot and doesn't have the slightest clue where it is going when he lets it go.

I actually agree with u lol. U clearly watched enough philly/coburn to know. I agree cuz there were stretches of times in 2009-2011 when I was with my ex and she lived in philly. I was inclined to watch a lotta flyers games for no reason lol. I'm shooting for the stars here

Tampa didn't give up a 1st and Gudas for him if they shared the same view as Casper. He will be top 4 and put up good BBKL stats like he has every year. Stats could go down some, but he is a better BBKLer than NHLer like many D in this league.
