that's probably his true value, what shiv was after wasn't close to his value. I would have probably taken this offer as well if i wanted multiple players coming back.

Yeah, if Shiv was firm on getting 3 decent NHLers back this was as good as he got. Maybe if he could have taken 2 players he might have gotten more but within his restrictions he did well.

Josh is just bitter because he wanted to do Toews for Giroux straight and I wouldn't listen. With Nick getting Giroux, Josh will have to pay up.

Also, if people call this deal "reasonable" you should have then negotiated with me! These talks started with Hertl Kadri Coyle Crouse in the discussion. But Nick put in the time, told me what worked him and what didn't. People think a deal will magically appear but often it's about communicating what your restrictions are and what works.

I've broken this deal down and I think I probably lose. But just slightly. I was okay with that given that this package was close to what I was looking for. Nick gets rewarded for negotiating.

I don't want Giroux, you offered Giroux for Toews + and I said 1-1 was all I would do. I was surprised given the asking price that this was what you decided to move him for. It's a reasonable deal for sure which is something I'm not used to seeing you settle for

negotiating is overrated. this is a hobby, not a full time job

is a lot of faith in Babs, however I'm pretty confident that Kadri is in a great spot going into next season. One of the few current forwards that seem worth keeping.

i hate kadri and a lot of his development rests on the next 2 years. i use to love the kid until he said he thought he was as talented as JT.

There's a difference between cocky and confident. If you're cocky you can't improve because you can't see your mistakes
