Late waiver picks generally go for 3rd Rounders

This is shaping up to be one of the deepest pools we've had for the waiver draft in quite a while. I definitely wouldn't give up a waiver pick for a 7th.

Not sure why a late 7th would be worth more than what guys were trading 5ths and 6ths for, but it is a free country and you're allowed to name your price

exactly. only a few picks left for people to get a player they want. 6ths+ were being offered for 7ths and no one was biting. To me, the 5th-7th rounds are a crap shoot unless one has a player they want. I am willing to move back one year of development for a good price. If I dont get the price i will just pick as i have 2 players i want. But may as well see if anyone else also has a player they want, and not have to wait an entire season to use their later draft picks.

It isn't adding a 7th. It is adding a prospect.

this is true, and if someone has been paying attention there could be a NHL 2nd round pick still available in our draft
that's easily worth a 7th+ waiver

I offered Tony a 4th for his 4 7th round picks. Best of luck getting that for one.
