is there somewhere we can view the 2010-2011-2012 bbkl waiver draft selections? I see 2013 and 2014, but not the past drafts. I think it would help to give us new guys an idea of what a waiver pick is actually worth. in the 2013 and 2014 drafts it looks like only 3 or 4 have made the NHL from each draft, but lots of those guys could still be developing. if we saw older waiver drafts, we would have a more well-rounded idea of how many actually make the nhl in each waiver draft.

2013 = Anti Raanta, Christian Folin - Doesnt seem like much else. really weak.

2014 = Nosek, sekac, reilly, griffith, Bellemare, TVR

We changed message boards after the first few years and we lost some of the records.

Wish we still had access to our old CBS records too.

Nosek pick was actually made outside of the top 10, DAL traded it to me after it skipped
(edit: was the 13th pick made viewtopic.php?f=83&t=11068#p189513 )

anyway, when you judge past waiver drafts you should consider some picks that look bad today did bring value to the team that made it.

For example in my case, the Fasth pick may not look a good one at first glance today, but he did reach very good value at some point, as this deal shows:

however, when judging that deal you should keep in mind that Mason's and Beleskey's perceived value at that point was nowhere close today's one.
(in fact my following deals involving them were horrific)

How does one even begin to know where to look, for who is available in the waiver draft?

Keep track of which college, junior and European free agents have been signed since this spring. Those are usually the bulk of the picks in the waiver draft.

not a lot, i'll go thourgh a list right before my pick and just guess. It's paid off the one time i kept my pick. I nabbed a few guys late that actually ended up in the NHL.

And you even drafted him before he signed in Detroit. I didn't realize that unsigned college players could be taken but they can based on age.

You must have missed pick 14 in 2011.

God those were some terrible picks for me for the rest of them though. Atleast Miele has a one way this year?

A player doesn't need too be signed or drafted to be eligible.
